_Challenges:_
- Double discrimination: Dalit Christians often face discrimination from both Hindu and Christian communities.
- Caste-based prejudice: Despite converting to Christianity, they may still be treated as "untouchables" by some Christians.
- Limited access to resources: Dalit Christians may face barriers in accessing education, employment, and healthcare.
- Identity struggles: They may struggle to reconcile their Dalit identity with their Christian faith.
_History:_
- Many Dalits converted to Christianity during the colonial era, seeking social equality and escape from the caste system.
- Today, there are approximately 20 million Dalit Christians in India, mostly belonging to Protestant denominations.
